The first Jamaican record to top the UK chart, "Israelites", by Desmond Dekker and The Aces, reached #9 on the Billboard Top 40 chart too on June 7, 1969 and stayed on the chart for seven weeks. It is a song that defined a generation, much more than "Al Capone" did 4 years prior. I'm not sure about the origin of this video, so if you do know please let me know, although it seems from later in the '70s, surely from the UK.
