Despite being banned by the radio for its explicit lyrics, "Wet Dream" by Max Romeo reached number 10 in the UK chart. Romeo was member of the Emotions and the Hippy Boys (later evolved in the Upsetters), and a sales representative for Lee Perry. "Wet Dream" is essentially a re-writing of Derrick Morgan's "Hold on Jack", for which Romeo re-wrote the lyrics. It was immediately a massive hit in Jamaica and the UK.
